Bangladesh squad for the one-off Test against India

Liton Das has been recalled to the Bangladesh squad for the one-off Test against India, set to start on February 9 in Hyderabad. The Bangladesh Cricket Board selectors included the 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman in the squad following his maiden first-class double century in Bangladesh Cricket League.

Mustafizur Rahman misses out after not having enough game time under his belt since his recovery from surgery. Although he doesnt have any problem medically, he still needs to work on his skill fitness, said Minhajul Abedin, Bangladesh's chief selector.

Skipper Mushfiqur Rahman, who had missed Bangladesh's second Test against New Zealand due to an injury, has also been included in the side.Opener Imrul Kayes and Mominul Haque, who were out injured in Bangladesh's previous Test in Christchurch make their way back along with Shafiul Islam.

Meanwhile, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Mustafizur Rahman, Nurul Hasan and Rubel Hossain have been left out.

Bangladesh, who will be playing their first Test in India after having made their debut in 2000, will be coming into the one-match series after a 2-0 loss in New Zealand. They have had a good last one year as far as their performances have been concerned, wherein they have given some top teams a good fight.

As much as they have grown with their performances, consistent victories continue to elude them. The historic series-levelling win against England in Dhaka remains a rare exception.
